Scholarship for Overseas Chinese Students

First-Year Scholarship

• Full Scholarship: All enrolled Overseas Chinese Students receive a full scholarship in the first year (2 semesters).
• Tuition Refund: Students pay full tuition first and will receive a 100% refund afterward.

Scholarship from the Second Year

NQU provides Full or Half Scholarships to ongoing Overseas Chinese Students based on academic performance.

General Overseas Chinese Students

• Full Scholarship: Behavior performance score ≥ 80, no penalty record, pass Chinese proficiency test at A2 level, and rank in the top 50% of their class. → 100% tuition refund.
• Half Scholarship: Behavior performance score ≥ 80, no penalty record, pass Chinese proficiency test at A2 level, and rank in the top 75% of their class. → 50% tuition refund.

Economically Weaker Overseas Chinese Students

• Full Scholarship: Behavior performance score ≥ 80, no penalty record, pass Chinese proficiency test at A2 level, and rank in the top 75% of their class. → 100% refund of tuition and dormitory fee.
• Half Scholarship: Behavior performance score ≥ 80, no penalty record, pass Chinese proficiency test at A2 level, but not in the top 75%. → 50% refund of tuition and dormitory fee.

Scholarship for International Students

First-Year Scholarship

• Half Scholarship: All international students receive 50% scholarship in their first year (2 semesters).
• Tuition Refund: 50% of the paid tuition will be refunded.
• Dormitory Refund: 50% of the dormitory fee will be refunded.

Scholarship from the Second Year

NQU provides Full or Half Scholarships to ongoing International Students based on academic performance.

• Full Scholarship: Behavior performance score ≥ 80, no penalty record, pass Chinese proficiency test at A2 level, and rank in the top 50%. → 100% refund of tuition and dormitory fee.
• Half Scholarship: Behavior performance score ≥ 80, no penalty record, pass Chinese proficiency test at A2 level, and rank in the top 75%. → 50% refund of tuition and dormitory fee.

Allowance

• Outstanding International Student Allowance: USD 1,334 for the first year (USD 667 per semester).

Subsidy

• Student Subsidy: Provided by the Kinmen County Government to all NQU undergraduate students. → USD 334 per year (USD 167 per semester).

Voucher

• Shopping Voucher (Coupon): Issued by Kinmen County Government to all students. → Value: USD 134 per year (USD 67 per semester). Usable for: groceries, books, stationery, domestic flights to Taiwan, and goods at partnered stores or supermarkets.
